My name is Lindi. I am a staunch supporter of the smell of vanilla, the color black and white, the tone of the Economist (newspaper), the sound of classical music. But contrary to this generally benign and nondistinctive baseline of tastes I am a strategic decision-making under uncertainty researcher. Specifically I am interested in decision-makers teaming up and taking risk where the odds are not historically in their favor, but the payoffs are if they can pull off a paradigm shift. In fact, such modes, models and momentums for thinking during problem-solving, is not only the topic of my PhD thesis/dissertation, but also a series of books I am currently working on.
Over the course of my career thus far I have taught decision-making strategies (and adjacent fields) at seven different accredited international universities (Newcastle- UK, Groningen-NL, University of Iowa, University of Northern Iowa, Drake, Phoenix and Wartburg College) to undergrads, graduate students as well as executives. As an executive myself I too have build a diverse portfolio examples where my team and I beat the odds in new and unfamiliar territories.
